ORIGINAL DESIGN

Original by Design. Nostalgic at Heart.

Every Yuletide Nest original begins with an idea.

Inspired by nostalgic Christmases, old-world details, woodland winters and the warmth of a home dressed for the season, we develop our designs from the first concept through the details that give each piece its distinctive character.

Rather than simply selecting ready-made décor from a mass-market catalog, our original pieces are developed according to our own creative direction and specifications.

It Starts With an Idea

Original Concepts

Every original piece begins with our own concept, sketches and styling direction.

Thoughtful Proportions

Shape, scale and balance are carefully considered so that each piece feels distinctive while fitting naturally into a real holiday home.

Materials & Details

We develop the colors, textures, materials and decorative details that help bring the original idea to life.

Hand-Finished Character

Depending on the design, pieces may include painted, distressed, textured, assembled or hand-finished details.

Subtle variations may naturally occur and help give individual pieces their own character.

Why the Details Matter

A Christmas decoration can look simple from across the room, but the details are often what make you want to keep looking.

The curve of a tree.

The weathering on an old-world cottage.

The expression of a woodland character.

The way a warm light softly appears through a window.

These are the details we consider when developing our collections.

A Note About Similar Designs

You may occasionally come across similar-looking pieces elsewhere.

Our original products are developed according to our own designs, specifications, proportions, materials and finishing standards.

While an imitation may appear similar in a photograph, the materials, proportions, construction, details, craftsmanship and final finish may not be the same.

For authentic pieces from our collection, we recommend purchasing directly from Yuletide Nest.
